              •  What is the Morehouse School of Medicine National Alumni Association?

                The Morehouse School of Medicine National Alumni Association (MSMNAA) is an organization dedicated to advancing the interests of Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM), its alumni, prospective students, and the broader community.

              • What is the purpose of the MSMNAA?

                The MSMNAA aims to foster connections among alumni, support MSM's mission, and engage with prospective students and the community.

              • What types of programming and events does the MSMNAA host?

                The association hosts various programs and events, including the annual MSMNAA awards ceremony, which highlights the achievements of alumni, resident alumni, and faculty. This prestigious event serves as an opportunity to celebrate excellence in medicine, education, and community service while fostering connections among attendees.  

                Additionally, the association organizes the Alumni Reunion Weekend, where alumni classes come together to reconnect, celebrate milestones, and share the progress they've made since their time at MSM. The weekend also features class fundraising initiatives to support MSM's mission and future growth.  

                Other programs include networking receptions, mentorship initiatives, and professional development workshops, all aimed at engaging and empowering the Morehouse School of Medicine community. 

              • How do I apply to become a member of the Alumni Association?

                To become a member of the Alumni Association, you can pay membership dues online. Members of the Executive Committee are nominated and subsequently appointed by an internal nominating committee. If you would like to learn more about becoming a member of the Executive Committee, contact Ms. Carrie Dumas, Alumni Affairs Manager.

              • Can I be a member of the Alumni Association, even if I don’t live in Atlanta?

                Yes, you can be a member of the Alumni Association regardless of your location. The association encourages all alumni to stay involved and participate in events and initiatives, even if they reside outside of Atlanta.
